That's the 1954 Corvette Nomad show car. It wasn't put into production, though the roof line was translated to the Tri-5 Chevy body the next year. The fastback, which was called "Corvette Corvair," never saw production, either.

It was, just not the pre-Zora versions. Best years are '58-'60, in my humble opinion.

I feel the C2 has you covered on the fastback concern. But a proper C1 hardtop would've been great.

Yeah but man, the lines of that C1 "fastback" makes it look like it could slap an aston in the face. (don't mind me my only dislike of astons is the long running race rivalry between corvette and aston, they're bat shit crazy cars that are still in production...somehow)
